TALKS ENABLE OUR COMMUNITY TO TAKE FIRST STEPS TOWARDS BECOMING ACTIVE ADVOCATES FOR EQUALITY AND INCLUSION. LEARNING FROM THOSE WHO HAVE MADE IT THEIR LIFE WORK TO CHAMPION THIS FIGHT AND ALSO THOSE WHO DO WHAT THEY CAN ALONGSIDE THEIR EVERYDAY WORK.
OUR FIRST 2 TALKS WERE SPONSORED BY KGM MEDIA, ALLOWING FOR “AN EVENING DISCUSSION ON EXTREMISM: WHAT THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY SHOULD KNOW”. LED BY 3 SPEAKERS, EXPLORING FAR RIGHT, FAR LEFT, THE THREATS, HOW COMMUNITY MEMBERS CAN PROTECT THEMSELVES, AND WAYS TO ENGAGE IN MEANINGFUL ACTIVITIES, WITH NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE EVENT.
